Day 1

Meeting at Cairo Airport with GO TO KNOW Tour Leader– for flight Cairo/Rome.

Arrival to Rome googleearth_icon1 41°47’39N 12°15’15E & Transfer by private air-conditioned modern bus to hotel & Check-in.

PM free (have a walk in the most attractive zone of old Rome, in its narrow streets, Fontane & Piazze).

Overnight in Rome.

Day 2

Breakfast in hotel.

Start a  guided walking tour of the Renaissance Rome, to visit some of the world’s most famous sights  include the majestic Trevi Fountain  googleearth_icon1 41°54’03N 12°28’59E  will have the chance to follow the tradition to toss a coin thus ensuring their return to Rome. Then to the Spanish Steps googleearth_icon1 41°52’21N 12°28’55E, climbing a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinita` dei Monti, dominated by Trinita` dei Monti church at the top. The Scalinata is the widest staircase in Europe. A narrated walk  to one of the world’s oldest and most famous building, the Pantheon googleearth_icon1 41°53’54N 12°28’36E, the technical achievements of which were an inspiration for Michelangelo’s dome of St. Peter’s Basilica. Then continues to one of the most marvelous squares in the world, Piazza Navona googleearth_icon1 41°54’03N 12°28’59E, and the old Domitian Stadium with its magnificent Fountain of Four Rivers by Bernini.

PM visit of the Vatican & Basilica of St. Peter googleearth_icon1 41°54’07N 12°27’12E, learning about the iconic worldwide symbol of Christianity.

Overnight in Rome.

Day 3

Breakfast in hotel & Check-out.

Transfer to the Tuscany’s city of Pisa in private air-conditioned bus (  340 km / 3.5 hrs drive) and have a guided tour to the city’s attractions; the remarkable leaning Tower of Pisa googleearth_icon1 43°43’22N 10°23’48E, Piazza Dei Miracoli, and Il Duomo di Pisa.

Proceed to transfer to Florence googleearth_icon1 43°46’14N 11°14’53E   (85 km / 1 hr drive).

Check-in and overnight in Florence.

Day 4

Breakfast in hotel.

Guided tour in Florence visiting Accademia Gallery googleearth_icon1 43°46’38N 11°15’32E & Ufizi Gallery googleearth_icon1 43°46’03N 11°15’19E, and learn about the work and master pieces of the greatest artists in history; Michelangelo, Leonardo Davinci, Filippo Lippi and others. As well as visiting the iconic old bridge Ponte Vecchio googleearth_icon1 43°46’04N 11°15’11E, Il Duomo “ Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore” googleearth_icon1 43°46’22N 11°15’24E and Piazzale Michelangelo googleearth_icon1 43°45’46N 11°15’54E.

In the afternoon, transfer back to Rome (280 km / 3 hrs drive) & check-in.

Day 5

Breakfast in hotel.

Guided tour to discover the most impressive sites of the ancient Rome: visit the symbol of the “Eternal City”, the Coliseum googleearth_icon1 41°53’25N 12°29’29E: the majestic monument built by Emperor Vespasian. Then the Roman Forum googleearth_icon1 41°53’31N 12°29’07E, the political and commercial center of the city in the old times, walk through this interesting ensemble of ancient ruins reflecting the 12 centuries of history which created Roman civilization.

Afternoon is free for shopping.

Day 6

Breakfast in hotel & check-out.

Travel heading south to Naples  googleearth_icon1 40°51’05N 14°16’04E (220 km / 2.5 hrs drive) where we have our first stop, walking around the historical center of Napoli: Piazza del Plebiscito – home of the Royal Palace of Naples (Palazzo Reale) and Galleria Umbero I, with its eye-catching glass-roofed arcade.

Proceed to transfer till we reach Pompeii googleearth_icon1  40°44’46N 14°29’56E (25 km / 30 mnt drive) Where the students will have a guided tour of the ancient city, UNIESCO listed,  that lays buried under volcanic ash for centuries following Mount Vesuvius’ 79 BC eruption googleearth_icon1 40°49’18N 14°2’43E, and marvel at the incredible Roman ruins that abound; the House of the Tragic Poet, the House of the Vettii, House of the Faun, and others.

Proceed to transfer to the peninsula of Sorrento googleearth_icon1 40°37’34N 14°22’33E (28 km /40 mnts drive).

Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 7

Breakfast in hotel.

Transfer to the Marina Piccola googleearth_icon1 40°37’42N 14°22’32E to take the ferryboat or Hydrofoil to the magnificent Isle of Capri. Students will enjoy a walking tour on the island, its narrow streets and shops. They will also get on a rowing boat from the Marina Grande googleearth_icon1 40°33’19N 14°14’30E for a sea tour to enjoy the remarkable Grottos of Capri (most famous is the Blue Grotto, but is subject to good weather conditions).

Return to Marina Grande and transfer by minibus to the shabby chic village of Anacapri googleearth_icon1 40°33’11N 14°12’48E, perched high above its glamorous Capri Town neighbor, admiring its wisteria-draped villas, and gaze down over the beautiful Bay of Naples.

Head back down the hill and visit one of Capri Town’s traditional trattorias. Walk it off on a stroll, passing through Capri’s swanky Piazetta (Piazza Umberto) googleearth_icon1 40°33’02N 14°14’33E – Capri’s  famous meeting point.

In the late afternoon, the students will take a ferryboat or hydrofoil back to Sorrento.

Day 8

Early Breakfast & check out – transfer back to Rome, heading to FCO Airport for flight Rome/Cairo.

Arrival to Cairo apt – end of GTK services.
