Berenice & Fata Morgana

Day 1

Meeting at Cairo Airport with GTK  Trip Leader– Check-in for Flight Cairo/Marsa Alam.

Arrival to RMF airport  25°33’31N 34°34’57E.  Transfer by air-conditioned bus to Wadi Lahami / Berenice  24°12’18N 35°25’46E (180 km / 2 hrs drive) and check-in hotel Lahami Bay, Southernmost beach resort in Egypt- tucked away on its own protected bay adorned with the South Red Sea’s untouched turquoise lagoons, extended sandy beaches and intact corals, harmonizing with the timeless panorama of the colorful mountains fringing the Sahara in the background, the resort is set near the once ancient town of Berenice some 115 km (75 miles) south of the Red Sea town of Marsa Alam.

Dinner in hotel – Overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner in hotel.

AM is dedicated for Snorkeling, right from the shore of the hotel beach with different grades of depth according to the swimming skills of each student: virgin zone with amazing and colorful marine life; corals, reefs and sea creatures.

PM: presentation about Marine Life and how to preserve its environment, names of Red Sea major fishes and other sea creatures.

Day 3

Breakfast & Dinner in hotel.

OPTIONAL: Over-day boat trip to Sataya Kebir to snorkel with dolphins. Lunch included.

OPTIONAL: Over-day Fishing Trip by private yacht including fishing equipment & technical instructors.  Lunch included.

Day 4         

Breakfast & Lunch in hotel.

AM is free, enjoying the resort facilities; beach, pools, Sea Breeze Gym and long beaches.

In the afternoon, check-out and enjoy a journey through the desert mountains passing the ancient wadi’s of the Southern red sea for a marvellous 2 hours quad or jeep trip before reaching Fata Morgana at the sunset. There will be offered the Bedouin coffee, handmade fresh typical bread and a camel ride with the local guide, then feasting upon a freshly prepared dinner banquet, all harvested from onsite organic farm. Students will pass a peaceful and quiet night in hand crafted traditional desert huts, all built from natural materials and furnished with antiques, Fata Morgana Desert Lodge  24°09’26N 35°23’12E.

Day 5

Group will wake up in the calmness of the desert farm and enjoy a fresh organic breakfast, just before an adventure trekking tour in the surrounding mountains. Way back by quad (45 min)or jeep (30 min).

After Lunch, Packing & check-out – Transfer to Marsa Alam Airport and fly back to Cairo. – drop off at Cairo airport – end of GTK services.
