NASA Space Camp & New York

 

Day 1 (Saturday)

Flight Cairo/NYC. Arrival to JFK airport   googleearth_icon1 40°38’34N 73°46’56W – connecting flight to Huntsville, Alabama

Arrive to Huntsville googleearth_icon1  34°43’48N 86°35’22W & transfer to hotel, check in.

Dinner & overnight.

Day 2 to Day 7:

Transfer to NASA Space Camp googleearth_icon1 34°38’56N 86°40’10W, during 6 days, participants will be trained on the various aspects of space technology with frequent hands-on demonstrations.  They get to build scale model rockets and actually launch them.  They experience 1/6th gravity, high G-forces, and other simulators like the multi-axis trainer just as the actual astronauts do in the course of their training.  They are briefed about the importance of the various people in a space mission and their roles and responsibilities.

ROBOTICS TRACK;

– Space Missions

– 14 Hours Robotics

– Design and Engineering Teamwork

– LEGO Robotics Competition

– Astronaut Simulators

AVIATION TRACK:

Jet Fighter Simulations

– Land Survival

– Aviation Principals

– 1 Space Mission

– Astronaut Simulators

Day 7

AM:  Space Camp Graduation Ceremony.

PM: Transfer to Huntsville airport for domestic flight to New York.

Arrive to NYC and transfer to hotel – dinner & overnight.

Day 8

Breakfast in hotel.

AM : guided city tour in Manhattan and learn about its landmarks; Central Park & Dakota

Breakfast in Hotel.

AM if free for shopping.

Transfer to JFK Airport for flight back to Cairo.
